Meet Dr. Laura

Dr. Laura Rogers completed her doctorate degree and residency in naturopathic primary care at the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in Portland, Oregon. Prior to her studies at NUNM, she worked as a project manager for a medical software company, implementing tools to help doctors provide better care for patients. Laura earned a bachelor's degree in psychology with highest distinction at the University of Virginia and interned in the university’s medical center.

Dr. Laura’s clinical interests include mental health, gastroenterology, nutrition and medical weight loss support, women’s health, and men’s health.  She offers a comprehensive, personalized, and integrative approach.  This combines modern medical care with nutrition, herbs, lifestyle coaching, and medications to support optimal wellness.

She loves helping patients feel better and sharing her knowledge. She is incredibly compassionate. Her ability to make others feel seen, heard, and supported is remarkable. Witnessing patients move from illness and difficulties to thriving is deeply fulfilling for Dr. Laura.

When asked, Dr. Laura shared that she “hopes the future of healthcare is aimed at doing the things to make people healthier, giving them tools for a better and more healthful life, rather than waiting for people to get sick”.  She believes that optimal health can be achieved.  She encourages patients to do the things that nurture and fuel them. Building healthy habits is key.  Dr. Laura doesn’t just say these things - she practices them.

When not at the clinic, she loves planting or doing anything outside, walking and being with her enthusiastic dogs, and meditates regularly to stay balanced and happy. As an avid runner, if she could have one superpower, it would be to run at supersonic speed. She and her spouse have lived in Hillsboro for over 20 years. Her favorite foods include gluten-free pizza with as many veggies as possible, and lemon bars from the local gluten-free bakery. She treats adults and adolescents and welcomes patients of all genders, sexual orientations, races, and spiritual practices.
